GNAT-TV Local Creators Fund: Your Opportunity to Tell Local Stories
Are you a media maker with a passion for storytelling and community? The GNAT-TV Local Creators Fund is offering three local media makers the chance to receive $1,000 each to produce high-quality video content including documentary programs or episodic television series that highlight local stories and issues of local importance.
The scope of content we are seeking is broad, as long as it is local to the Southwestern region of Vermont and noncommercial; local stories and voices are the priority. These projects will be showcased on GNAT-TV’s platforms, including gnat-tv.org, Comcast cable, Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, and YouTube.
GNAT-TV is committed to fostering creativity and community engagement. Through the Local Creators Fund, we aim to amplify diverse voices, inspire meaningful conversations, and empower media makers to create work that sparks change.
Special thanks to the Vermont Arts Council for helping make this program possible and for their continued support of local creators and the arts.
Our Local Creators Program aims to empower local filmmakers to explore pressing community issues or highlight unique local stories, amplifying diverse voices and fostering meaningful dialogue around essential topics. By providing a platform for underrepresented perspectives, we hope to inspire empathy, understanding, and positive action within our community. Through this creative initiative, we strive to cultivate a more engaged, informed, and connected audience, where individuals feel motivated to effect change and contribute to a better society.
