Streetfest set for Sept. 15
MANCHESTER CENTER —- Come to Manchester Main Street on Friday, September 15 for a family night of free music, great food and activities for young and old. From 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. the last of the season streetfests are sponsored by local businesses and the taxpayers of Manchester. A few vendor slots are available for the evening.
The Don’t Leave Band takes the stage for a concert of favorites featuring local musicians. One of the most respected quintets on the music scene, the band is back by popular acclaim and includes Bill Muench and Lee Romano.
The September event is the rescheduled June streetfest cancelled by rain. On the street browse the artisan and special interest booths including new vendor, Green Mountain, offering tasty cotton candy. The menu goes on and on with fresh sushi and Japanese fare from Café Sora and delicious burgers, brats and dogs served by our own selectmen. Beer, wine and sangria will be available from the Perfect Wife and Restaurant to enjoy while strolling on the street.
A limited number of vendor booths are available. If interested contact t.hayes@manchester-vt.gov. As always, dogs are not allowed at the streetfest. Parking is available in the municipal lot behind Rite Aid and at the Manchester Elementary Middle School. Special thanks to all who have who have lent their support to the event.
For more information, telephone 362-5333 or email t.hayes@manchester-vt.gov. Updates will be posted to the town of Manchester’s Facebook page. See you at the festival!
