MANCHESTER — Two of the top NCAA Division 1 men’s soccer teams in the northeast –Dartmouth College and The University at Albany (UAlbany)– will face off  Saturday, April 28 at Applejack Stadium, located in the Dana L. Thompson Memorial Recreation Park.  Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.

During the 2017 fall season, Dartmouth finished the season at 12-3-2 overall and 6-0-1 in the Ivy League Conference, winning the Ivy League regular season and post season titles. Dartmouth was eliminated from the NCAA National Tournament in the second round by New Hampshire (ranked #17) in a shootout. Dartmouth was ranked 16th in the country at the end of the 2017 season and is coached by first year coach Adegboyega “Bo” Oshoniyi.

UAlbany finished the 2017 campaign 14-5-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the America East Conference. UAlbany beat Maryland (ranked #26) in the first round of the NCAA National Tournament in a shoot out, and then lost to Western Michigan (ranked #9) 2-0. UAlbany’s roster features Reid Conde, Manchester native and former Burr and Burton student-athlete (class of 2015). Conde, a red-shirted sophomore, scored UAlbany’s lone goal during the recent 1-1 tie with Yale University.

“We’re really excited to host UAlbany and Dartmouth,” said John O’Keefe, Town Manager.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Concession food will be available at Chief’s Concession Stand from 12:30 – 3 p.m.
