Dr. Louis Meyers, a physician at the Rutland Regional Medical Center, has announced he too will be a candidate in the Democratic Party primary, joining four other candidates already in the running to succeed Rep. Peter Welch, who is running for the US Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Patrick Leahy.
