United Counseling Service Adjusts Availability of Same Day Access (SDA) Program
Individuals seeking mental health, substance use, and/or intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) services and supports in Bennington County can access United Counseling Service (UCS)’s Same Day Access program on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 8am and 5pm, with last appointments commencing at 3pm, at the agency’s 100 Ledge Hill Drive location in Bennington, VT, or its Northshire office at 5312 Main Street in Manchester, VT, or by calling 802-442-5491.
Those seeking services who are not able to come in during Same Day Access hours should call 802-442-5491 to discuss alternative arrangements. The Same Day Access model offers same-day assessments, treatment planning, and providing critical support when it is needed most. Chief Program Officer, Ryan Murphy shares that this model improves service delivery. “We understand that when someone reaches out for help, they cannot always wait for an appointment. This model allows us to provide the right care, at the right time, in the right place.”
UCS emergency services are available 24/7/365 at 802-442-5491 for individuals experiencing mental health crises and includes mobile crisis response anywhere in Bennington County. For life threatening emergencies, please call 911.
UCS provides a variety of services including outpatient mental health services, substance use services, medication assisted treatment (MAT), community rehabilitation and treatment (CRT), psychiatric services, medication management, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) services, and early childhood services.
