Equinox Wind Quintet members are: flutist Laurel Ann Maurer, oboist Elise Conti; clarinetist Betsy
LeBlanc; bassoonist Molly Finkel and hornist Sel Yargici.. Featuring music by August Klughardt,
Darius Milhaud, Malcolm Arnold, Vincent Persichetti, and György Ligeti. From the compositional
whimsy of Arnold’s Three Shanties for Wind Quintet to Milhaud’s evocative score for the 1939
film “Calvalcade d’amour" to Ligeti’s Six Bagatelles, which shakes off the shackles of mid-
twentieth century Stalinism, the music of these composers displays the vast range of a wind
quintet. The quintet can be heard on Vermont Public Radio. Equinox Wind Quintet Live |
