Northshire Bookstore Event: Glenn Fay on “Ambition: The Remarkable Family of Ethan Allen”

(Manchester Center, VT) On May 16 at 6 pm, Northshire Bookstore will host educator and author Glenn Fay in a discussion of his book Ambition: The Remarkable Family of Ethan Allen. 

Ambition is a deep dive into the early history of Vermont, and the important role of the Allen family in shaping it. The book unravels the Allen family’s adventures during their mid-1700s hardscrabble childhoods, business undertakings, homesteading, and developing the wilderness that is now Vermont. Fay will share his research on Ethan Allen’s extended family of brothers, sisters, wives, children, grandchildren, and associates.

Glenn Fay is a descendant of Green Mountain Boy Daniel Champion and author of Vermont’s Ebenezer Allen and Hidden History of Burlington, Vermont, from The History Press.
