Berkshire Art Center Offers a Weekend of Workshops on October 18-19
Make Art This Fall: From Leaves to Clay to Paper
Berkshire Art Center offers a weekend of hands-on workshops for all levels.
Stockbridge, MA — October 2, 2025 — Berkshire Art Center (BAC) invites the community to embrace the beauty of autumn and celebrate creativity during a special weekend of workshops on October 18–19, 2025. Featuring photography, ceramics, and drawing, this weekend offers participants the opportunity to make meaningful memories—and artwork—that will last well beyond the season.
Photographing Fall Colors in the Berkshires
Spend two hours capturing the brilliance of fall foliage during a photography workshop led by professional photographer Thad Kubis. Set at Mass Audubon’s Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary in Pittsfield, this program will inspire participants to turn “leaf peeping” into an art form.
Saturday, October 18 | 1–3 pm
Double-Walled Construction: Elevating the Everyday Vessel
In this two-day ceramics workshop, acclaimed visiting artist Jerilyn Virden will guide participants through fundamental handbuilding techniques to create double-walled bowls. This transformative process turns functional forms into sculptural works of art.
Saturday & Sunday, October 18–19 | 9 am–5 pm
Experimental Drawing
Join dynamic faculty artist Paul Chojnowski for a one-day exploration of creative mark-making. Using charcoal, ink, and unconventional tools, participants will experiment with techniques that push the boundaries of traditional drawing. Open to all experience levels.
Saturday, October 18 | 10 am–4 pm
“With this trio of workshops, we’re excited to offer something for everyone—whether you’re looking to capture the colors of the season, get your hands into clay, or explore new approaches to drawing,” said Laura Thompson, Executive Director of Berkshire Art Center.
Three workshops. One inspiring weekend. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged to secure a place and ensure these classes can run.
