33rd ANNUAL STOCKBRIDGE SUMMER ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW

July 30, 2025…..STOCKBRIDGE, Mass….. The Stockbridge Summer Arts and Crafts Show, now in its Thirty-second year, will be held August 16 and 17 on the grounds of the Town Offices and Bidwell Park, 50 Main Street, Stockbridge, MA.  Stockbridge, blessed with internationally renowned summer festivals of music, theater and dance, major art museums and historic homes brings hundreds of thousands of art and craft lovers to visit the most famous Main Street in America, as painted by Norman Rockwell.  What a better location for our show, open free to the public. 80 jury-selected artists and crafters will display their work ranging from paintings to ceramics, firberware to jewelry, sculpture to photography. The hours are Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.  Admission to the Arts & Crafts Show is FREE.

Among the returning artisans will be Lesley Reich of Lenox Dale, MA offering wheel thrown porcelain vessels with hand-lettered sayings for family, friends, love & wisdom.  The owner/artist of Nuthatch & Bluet Studio, Susie Secco is a printmaker whose work focuses on creating pieces that combine color, patterns and practicality. Her creations include table lines, kitchen towels, aprons, pillows and handbags. Judith Secco, a native of Connecticut’s Northwest corner, has been an avid self-taught photographer all of her life. She began with an in-home darkroom focusing mainly on black and white images and later realized a passion for digital photography. Developing her own technique by using textures and layers, she gives her images a unique quality, enhancing nature’s beauty with an artist’s eye and neutral background, bringing nature to life. Christina Giebner of West Springfield, MA showcases one of a kind precious gemstones and metals in a limited-edition jewelry line. Julia Rose Miner, a local painter from Stockbridge, MA most recent collections of textural abstracted landscape paintings, has explored and continues to experiment with vibrant colors, materials, size, and nature subjects. Through subject matter and creation, she finds beauty in the innocence of decay and abstraction. At the age of seven she was diagnosed with a visual impairment, called Stargardt Disease, leaving her world altered with a constant vibrating visual texture. She uses the sense of touch as a source of sight to navigate through life and art. Art by Dave Nevue’s work embodies a deep connection with nature, particularly within the serene and captivating world of wildlife. Utilizing pastels, he enjoys the playful vibrancy they offer, which allows him to engage with the textures and moods of the natural environment. Each piece is a reflection of the stories that unfold in the wild, with a particular focus on the personalities of the animals he depicts.

Among other exhibitors will include Joshua and Kristen Kanter of Great Barrington, MA offering JK Custom Furniture & Design, Louis Wallach of Stockbridge, MA showcasing one of a kind pieces made from sustainable wood that are inspired by both the material and the environment from which it came. Virginia Stevens of Cranston, RI designs a unique line of handcrafted jewelry. Her line is all made using genuine sterling silver, 14K gold, semi-precious stones, or freshwater pearls combined with a unique way in her own distinctive style. Roxanne Parent of Conway, MA offers handmade pottery, and Susan Pillay offers unique infant and children’s hand-painted wearable art, using eco-friendly dyes and cuddly natural cottons. Patience Thomas from Great Cape Baking Company will offer hand cut cider donuts, gourmet breads, sandwiches, and beverages.

This annual event is organized by the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber, with 100 members, is an advocate for Stockbridge area business.  Each year the Stockbridge Chamber sponsors such programs as the Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas event and the Stockbridge Children’s Halloween Parade & Party.  In addition, the Chamber produces the widely distributed Stockbridge Guide, and responds to all inquiries made to the office located at 50 Main Street in Stockbridge.
