Hazmat response in Arlington explained
ARLINGTON –The Vermont State Police would like to address public concerns about a hazmat response at a home on East Arlington Road in Arlington. This activity is related to the execution of a search warrant, the completion of which has required health protections for investigators. This is not a response for a clandestine methamphetamine lab or any other hazardous materials, however the condition of the house has required protection for investigators as they move through the home conducting their search. There is no public safety risk or concern associated with this search or the property itself. This search warrant is being conducted as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. No other details are available at this time.
An earlier statement from the state police identified the site of the hazmat response incorrectly as being on Sandgate Road, instead of East Arlington Road.
