BENNINGTON, VT—April 21, 2017—Keith Michl, MD, FACP, of Dorset, VT, has joined the Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) Foundation Board of Directors.

“Keith is an important health leader in the Northshire and the region,” said Leslie Keefe, SVHC’s vice president of corporate development. “His experience and insights will contribute greatly to our mission, and we are grateful to have him join us.”

Dr. Michl is an internal medicine physician in private practice in Manchester, VT, and a member of the Department of Medicine at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.  He is an affiliate of MDVIP, a network of physicians providing personalized primary care medical and wellness services. He attended Middlebury College in Vermont and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. He completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Michl is particularly interested in geriatric medicine and aging management, preventive cardiology, nutrition and weight management issues, and integrative health.

“I have genuinely enjoyed working on the SVHC Foundation Northshire Regional Advisory Board over the past several years,” Dr. Michl said. “Joining the Foundation Board of Directors is a welcome opportunity to extend my commitment to our health system.”

The SVHC Foundation Board of Directors consists of 20 members. Directors are nominated by members of the board. The SVHC Foundation’s mission is to engage in development and fundraising activities exclusively for the support of the Southwestern Vermont Health Care Corporation.
