Cornerstone Housing Partners Open House
Bennington, VT – [6/10/2025] On January 1, 2025, Shires Housing, the Housing Trust of Rutland County, and NeighborWorks of Western Vermont officially merged to form Cornerstone Housing Partners, a unified organization committed to strengthening communities through affordable housing and homeownership support.
To introduce the new organization to the Bennington community, Cornerstone Housing Partners will host a public Open House on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. at their office located at 136 North Street, Bennington.
The event will highlight the wide range of services offered by Cornerstone Housing Partners and emphasize the critical role of affordable housing in Bennington County. Attendees will hear from a distinguished lineup of guest speakers, including:
- Alex Farrell, Commissioner, Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development
- Gus Seelig, Executive Director, Vermont Housing and Conservation Board
- Senator Seth Bongartz, Vermont State Senate
- Senator Rob Plunkett, Vermont State Senate
- Mary Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, Cornerstone Housing Partners
