GMALL – National Theatre Live: Prima Facie

(MANCHESTER, VT) Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning is excited to bring back National Theatre Live, the best of British theatre broadcast to cinemas around the world. The film will be shown on Saturday, February 8 from 2:00 to 4:30 pm in the Arkell Pavilion at Southern Vermont Arts Center. This screening of Prima Facie takes us to the heart of where emotion and experience collide with the rules of the game. Tessa is a young, brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working class origins to being at the top of her game; defending, cross examining, and winning. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge. Tessa is played by Jodie Comer, an Olivier and Tony Award-winning actress, in this Suzie Miller gripping one-woman play. Justin Martin directs this solo tour de force. Tickets are $20 per person.
