(Manchester Center, VT) Northshire Bookstore and Helmholz Fine Art (HFA) are proud to present “Metagraphs in Motion: Augmented Reality Book Signing and Gallery Reception,” a celebration of artist Colin Goldberg’s innovative work combining fine art and technology. This special event will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Manchester, Vermont.

The event begins with an Augmented Reality Book Demo and Signing at Northshire Bookstore from 2–4 PM, where attendees can explore Goldberg’s Metagraphs augmented reality series of artworks firsthand.

Metagraphs: Augmented Reality Art is the first AR artist book published on Amazon. As the reader views the artworks of this book with a free mobile app, the artworks come to life, animating directly on the book’s pages. Metagraphs: Augmented Reality Art is a synthesis of the physical and digital realms, creating a truly interactive experience and redefining the concept of a book in the digital era.  This unique volume contains all 23 works in the Metagraphs collection and includes a foreword by artist, author, and composer Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky,

The day continues with a Gallery Reception at Helmholz Fine Art from 4–6 PM, showcasing Goldberg’s augmented reality artworks, including Circuit, a one-of-a-kind 6×8 foot augmented reality artwork that debuted last summer at the Kingsborough Art Museum in Brooklyn. Guests will enjoy light bites and refreshments while engaging with the artist’s cutting-edge AR pieces. The reception is free and open to the public.

Colin Goldberg, who coined the term Techspressionism in 2011, is internationally recognized for his contributions to the intersection of art and technology. His work has been featured by PBS, WIRED, and The New York Times, and he has received prestigious grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Born in the Bronx in 1971 to parents of Jewish and Japanese ancestry, Goldberg now lives and works in North Bennington, Vermont.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the fusion of art and technology with one of today’s leading innovators.
