Production Intern

GNAT-TV is a dynamic public access station in full operation, boasting three channels, multiple social platforms, and several television apps eagerly awaiting content. With a vibrant array of community producers and a plethora of local events to capture and broadcast, there’s never a dull moment. We’re constantly seeking assistance.

If you have a passion for film, television production, and broadcasting, your help could be invaluable. We offer the opportunity to delve into the intricate workings of professional television operations while extending a helping hand to guide you along the way!

You will gain:

• A deeper connection and understanding of their community
• Practical and professional filming and editing experience and knowledge
• Insight into the media industry from experienced television producers

This internship program has no set schedule. Depending on the value and time involved, we are open to discussing a stipend payment plan. We can also work with a school counselor to provide college or high school credit.

Make Media that Matters Program at GNAT-TV

GNAT-TV in Sunderland, VT, is dedicated to producing content that genuinely reflects the truth and engages the community in the Greater Northshire region of Southern Vermont. This summer, we’re excited to offer the Make Media that Matters (MMTM) internship, open to two aspiring interns passionate about creating impactful video stories.

Summer 2024 MMTM Internship Details:

• Duration: Begins Tuesday, June 18th, concluding with final project submissions on Tuesday, August 6th.
• Projects: Interns will develop three media projects, each lasting 10-30 minutes, over 8 weeks. A commitment of at least 5 hours per week for studio work is expected, with scheduling flexibility.
• Collaboration: Project themes will be jointly decided by GNAT staff and interns, reflecting the community’s current interests and needs.

• Forge a deeper connection with the community.
• Gain hands-on experience in filming, editing, research, and production.
• Learn from experienced television producers.
• Receive a $500 stipend, with potential for college or high school credit upon arrangement with a school counselor.
