GNAT-TV To Host Live Candidate Debates
GNAT-TV will offer extensive coverage of the 2020 election including candidate interviews
and live candidate debates. GNAT-TV’s News Director, Andrew McKeever will moderate
debates between State Representative Candidates and State Senate Candidates. The
State Representative Debate with candidates Rep. Kathleen James, Seth Bongartz, and
Rep. Cynthia Browning will take place at 4PM on September 28th. The State Senate
Debate plans with candidates Sen. Richard Sears, Sen. Brian Campion, Michael Hall, Meg
Hansen, and Kevin Hoyt will take place on October 7th at 4PM. Both debates will air live
on GNAT-TV’s Public Channel on Comcast Cable (channel number 1074), on GNAT-TV’s
YouTube Channel and GNAT-TV.org. The debates will also re-air Wednesdays &
Saturdays starting at 8PM on Comcast channel 1074 and on demand on Roku, on
Apple TV and gnat-tv.org.
Each debate will have a three phase format: traditional debate with timed question and
answer, pre-submitted questions from local citizens, and a discussion. Citizens may submit
a question for consideration at least 48 hours in advance by visiting
gnat-tv.org/submit-questions/.
In addition to the debates, McKeever will interview several candidates running for statewide
office including: Governor Phil Scott, Lieutenant Governor Zuckerman, Molly Gray, and
Scott Milne. Those interviews will be distributed on GNAT-TV’s distribution networks
throughout September and October.
