The News Project – Choice vs Designation

Residents of Pawlet and Rupert met at the Mettawee School on Aug. 10 for a community forum on a proposal that would combine three current school districts into one under Act 46, while continuing to designate two schools in New York State for the two town’s 7-12th grade students. The merger study committee will meet later this month to consider the community input; a vote on the final proposal is planned for early November.
