Shawn Harrington and Andrew McKeever discuss the causes of the Civil War and the role Vermont and the town of Manchester played in the conflict between the States. They explore some of the issues that eventually led to the Civil War which were present from the start of the nation as well. The war had a big impact locally, and also led to the launch of the Manchester Journal newspaper.
