Northshire Bookstore to host beloved children’s writer Rosemary Wells
Northshire Bookstore Event: Rosemary Wells – “The Little Chefs”
(Manchester Center, VT) On Saturday, May 9 at 4 pm, Rosemary Wells, the beloved
author/illustrator behind the Max and Ruby series, will join us to share her latest picture book – a
treat for anyone who has tried to whip up something special for someone they love, and
stumbled.
Almost everyone, young and old, likes to try their hand in the kitchen. But oh my! Disasters can
happen to anyone (and we like to keep them quiet). What to do when everything falls apart?
Well, just call the Little Chefs! They’ll put everything to rights in a jiffy. And everyone will give
you yards of credit. The Little Chefs will never tell!
“Kids are learning to save the day with cooking, in Wells’ The Little Chefs story book. With the
whimsical illustrations and stories of everyday life, kids will learn how to persevere with the help
of The Little Chefs.” — Bri Grajkowski, author of Cooking with Kids
“When I was a kid, if I had read The Little Chefs, I would have put them on speed-dial! What
wonderful stories to help children gain confidence in the kitchen and not lose hope over their
failures.”— Karen Katz, former executive producer, The Food Network and author of Getting
Sauced—How I Learned Everything I Know About Food from Working in TV
ROSEMARY WELLS is the author-illustrator of more than 120 children’s books. She is the
recipient of numerous awards, including the Horn Book Award, the Parent’s Choice Award, and
has received myriad starred reviews. Rosemary is also the creator of the wildly popular Max and
Ruby series, for which she has written dozens of books.
