Head Start and Early Head Start of Bennington County will host an Open Enrollment day on Saturday, October 24, from 9-11am at its 2 Park Street location in North Bennington for families interested in applying for the 2026-2027 school year. Breakfast will be provided at 9am, followed by a typical preschool morning at Head Start, including Morning Meeting, Free Choice Center Play, Small Group Activity, Outdoor Play. Head Start and Early Head Start of Bennington County is a federally funded early childhood program that provides high quality early childhood education and family support services to eligible families with children ages six weeks to five years at locations in Bennington, North Bennington, Shaftsbury, and Pownal. Services for families include help with accessing childcare financial assistance, parenting classes and workshops, regular home visits, and referrals to community resources.
