Great Art On Screen – Water Lilies by Monet: The Magic of Water and Light
Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is excited to offer the screening of Water Lilies by Monet: The Magic of Water and Light, which will take place at the Southern Vermont Arts Center on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. Journey into the masterpieces and obsessions of Claude Monet, the visionary who launched Impressionism and transformed modern art. Driven by his relentless pursuit of light and water, Monet shattered convention and created works that continue to captivate the world.
This exclusive, in-depth tour—led by renowned Monet scholars—guides you through the museums that hold the most significant collections of his iconic water-lily paintings, including the Musée Marmottan Monet, the Musée d’Orsay, and the celebrated panels at the Musée de l’Orangerie. The experience culminates at Monet’s own home and gardens in Giverny, where his lifelong fascination with water lilies first took root.
