Manchester, Vermont – May 19 through July 19, 2026 – Southern Vermont Arts Center (SVAC) presents Decades in the Making, a curated exhibition highlighting the work and perspectives of artists whose practices span more than 40 years. In partnership with SVAC, GNAT-TV has produced a three-episode mini-series that brings the exhibition to broader audiences through in-depth artist conversations.

Curated by Charles Lysogorski, the exhibition features six longtime SVAC Artist Members: Joan Curtis, Richard D. Weis, Fran Bull, Mark Eliot Schwabe, Charles Lysogorski, and Susan Wilson. Presented at SVAC, the exhibition reflects decades of artistic exploration within the region’s creative community.

“Southern Vermont Arts Center prides itself on a strong and vibrant membership program,” said Danny Volk, SVAC curator and host of the series. “These six artist members represent just a small glimpse of the breadth of talent we are fortunate to support and showcase through our exhibitions. I’m thrilled to partner with GNAT-TV on this video series, which brings these artists into conversation to reflect on their creative journeys over the past forty years.”

The GNAT-TV mini-series documents the featured artists, their work, and the ideas that have shaped their practices over time. Hosted by SVAC curator Danny Volk, the series extends the gallery experience beyond its walls, offering audiences deeper insight into the artists’ processes and perspectives.

“This collaboration marks an important milestone in how we work together as cultural institutions in our region,” said Tammie Reilly, Executive Director of GNAT-TV. “The work of these artists has shaped this community, and partnering with SVAC allows us to document these conversations as part of an enduring video archive, preserving their legacy and inviting audiences to engage more deeply, both on screen and in the gallery.”

The mini-series includes:
Episode 1: Fran Bull and Charles Lysogorski
Episode 2: Richard D. Weis and Joan Curtis
Episode 3: Susan Wilson and Mark Eliot Schwabe

The series will air on GNAT-TV’s Comcast channel 1074 at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm and be available on GNAT-TV’s digital platforms, including gnat-tv.org, YouTube, Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV. The exhibition will be on view at SVAC from May 19 through July 19, 2026.

Together, the exhibition and mini-series reflect a shared commitment to supporting local artists and increasing access to arts and culture through both in-person and media experiences.
