GNAT-TV and Manchester Historical Society Revisit Vermont’s Bicentennial on Special July 4 Time Stamp
MANCHESTER, VT. – In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States, GNAT-TV’s Time Stamp presents a special July 4 program featuring Ties That Bind, a recently digitized 1976 documentary chronicling the nation’s Bicentennial celebration across Vermont.
Presented by the Manchester Historical Society, the film offers a unique look at how local communities marked the nation’s 200th birthday nearly 50 years ago.
Before the documentary, host Shawn Harrington sits down with producer Timothy Stevenson to discuss the making of Ties That Bind, the story behind the project, and the importance of preserving local history for future generations.
The special premieres July 4 on GNAT-TV and will be available to watch at gnat-tv.org, on GNAT-TV’s YouTube channel, on Apple TV, Roku, and Fire TV, and on Public Channel 1074 at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.
