Bennington, VT – Saturday August 29th, 3:00-5:00 PM

The AIDS Project of Southern Vermont invites the public to a special community gathering at Lower Willow Park Pavilion, located via Performance Drive in Bennington. Friends, families, and community members are encouraged to come together to honor lives lost to overdose and to stand in solidarity to reduce stigma and promote harm reduction and recovery. 

This year’s event, held as part of International Overdose Awareness Day, embraces the global theme: “25 Years On. Still Needed” marks a quarter-century of International Overdose Awareness Day and reminds us why this work remains so important. While much has changed in 25 years, overdose continues to affect individuals, families, and communities every day. The theme is both a reflection on how far we have come and a call to keep moving forward. 

The afternoon will feature food and fun with a DJ and kids zone, along with guest speakers, community resources, and more. This is a free, family-friendly event and all are welcome!
