Bennington County Democrats to Host Lieutenant Governor Candidate Forum in Bennington

Bennington, VT — The Bennington County Democratic Committee (BCDC) will host a public forum featuring Democratic candidates for Vermont Lieutenant Governor on Saturday, May 23 at 7:00 PM at the Second Congregational Church – UCC, located at 115 Hillside St, Bennington, VT 05201.

The event will bring together the three announced Democratic candidates—Esther Charlestin, Molly Gray, and Ryan McLaren—offering voters an opportunity to hear directly from each candidate about their experience, priorities, and vision for Vermont. The forum will include candidate remarks followed by a moderated discussion featuring questions from members of the BCDC Executive Committee and County Committee, as well as questions from community members.

The forum will also be available to viewers on local access television through CAT-TV and GNAT-TV, helping ensure broader access for community members who are unable to attend in person.

“This forum is about making sure voters in Bennington County have a direct and meaningful opportunity to hear from the candidates and engage with the issues that matter most to our communities,” said Jonathan West, Chair of the Bennington County Democratic Committee. “Creating space for open dialogue like this strengthens our democracy and helps ensure that leadership at every level reflects the voices of the people.”

This event is part of the Bennington County Democratic Committee’s ongoing efforts to strengthen civic participation and ensure voters have access to meaningful, local opportunities to engage with candidates ahead of the election.

The forum is free and open to the public, and all members of the community are encouraged to attend and RSVP is recommended at www.benndems.org.
