The Roundup: A Kid-Produced GNAT-TV Show

Welcome to The Roundup, a show directed and produced by kids!
GNAT-TV media education team members Kate and Amber host, community guests make special appearances, and kids work the magic: behind the scenes, a crew of kids like you are directing in the control room, running cameras, and managing all of the details for lighting, audio, and set. Yep, you heard us: The kids are calling the shots on The Roundup.
Each month, we interview a local guest from one of our community resources, including libraries, theater groups, museums, and arts centers. Then, we provide a round-up of the previous months’ family-focused news and events, as well as a look ahead at what’s to come in our area.
Watch The Roundup on GNAT-TV’s website, cable channels, YouTube, and our streaming platforms.
The Roundup depends on viewers and community members like you! Here are a few ways you can participate in The Roundup:
Submit Content!
Got a question, fact, joke, challenge, drawing, or video to share? We’re always looking to lasso more ideas from viewers just like you, and can’t wait to see what you have to say. There are a couple of ways to get your content to us!
- Use our state-of-the-art Pony Express: Stop by one of the libraries listed below and fill out a paper submission form. We corral your questions and comments monthly, and use your suggestions to guide future segments!
- Manchester Community Library
- Martha Canfield Memorial Free Library
- Dorset Village Library
- South Londonderry Free Library
- Submit online: Got a short video you want us to share on the show, or something you want to say? Your creativity is what fuels The Roundup, and we have a quick and easy way to share your work with us. Ask an adult to help you submit your videos or comments via our online submission form for a chance to see YOUR submission in a future episode.
- Come to camp: Our media education programs, including Summer Camp, Cabin Fever Camp, and school-year programs, let you create some really neat stuff, and we wrangle camper-produced projects for future episodes of The Roundup. Camp and workshop attendees can also learn the ropes so they can join the film crew for future episodes!
- Share your news and events: If you have a cool family event happening in the community and you want to see it on a future episode of The Roundup, email education@gnat-tv.org!
You’ll just need permission from a caring adult to submit to us. Adults, you can reach out to The Roundup at education@gnat-tv.org with any questions!
