The News Project – VT 250: LiveHistory, In Time

February 6, 2026

The Manchester Community Library hosted a VT 250 LiveHistory event that invited visitors to explore local Revolutionary-era history through interactive, self-guided experiences.

Participants moved through the library at their own pace, encountering costumed reenactors portraying historical figures, following clues, and completing missions as part of a history-themed scavenger hunt. Conversations with reenactors offered insight into daily life during the Revolutionary period and encouraged visitors to engage directly with the past.

By transforming the library into an immersive learning space for the day, the event demonstrated how local history can be experienced actively, rather than observed from a distance.
