The News Project – Timber Framing at Merck Forest

We visit Merck Forest and Farmland Center to learn more about timber framing construction, a method similar to post and beam. Fleet and Facilities Manager Dylan Durkee leads a two-day workshop where participants gain hands-on experience drilling, measuring, and cutting. By the end of the class, attendees leave with a finished mailbox stand and a deeper understanding of traditional building techniques.
