The News Project – Repair Cafe at the Arlington Common

Longtime seamstress Lynn DeMaria is lending her talents to a new community effort at The Arlington Common: the Repair Café. By helping neighbors mend clothing and textiles, Lynn is proving that a little thread and skill can go a long way toward reducing waste and keeping useful items out of the landfill. The Repair Café invites people to rethink what they throw away–and to see repair as both an art and an act of sustainability.
