Skate at Southwest Vermont, A Film by David Morelos Zaragoza
Details
Skateboarding has long existed on the edges of mainstream sports culture, but for many people, it offers something much more than recreation. Skate at Southwest Vermont follows local skateboarders and the community they have built, highlighting the creativity, persistence, and connection that define the scene. Through personal stories and dynamic footage, the film captures a culture that often goes unnoticed while revealing the ways skateboarding creates belonging, self-expression, and opportunity for young people throughout the region.
Skate at Southwest Vermont was produced through GNAT-TV’s Local Creators Fund, which provides local creators with the resources needed to bring original stories to life. Through access to equipment, production support, editing resources, and funding, GNAT-TV helped David Morelos Zaragoza develop and complete this documentary while preserving his unique creative vision and perspective.
