For those ready to take their media interest to the next level, GNAT-TV offers practical internship opportunities. Participants will gain firsthand experience in television station operations, content creation, and community engagement, working alongside media professionals to develop real-world projects and build a strong foundation for a future career in media.
Television Production and Media Internships
GNAT-TV is a dynamic public access station in full operation, with three channels, multiple social platforms, a YouTube channel, and several television apps eagerly awaiting content. With a vibrant array of community producers and a plethora of local events to capture and broadcast, there’s never a dull moment.

If you have a passion for film, television production, and broadcasting, your help could be invaluable. Our Production Internship program offers the opportunity to delve into the intricate workings of professional television operations, and our experienced videographers and staff will lend a helping hand to guide you along the way!
You will gain:
- A deeper connection and understanding of their community
- Practical and professional filming and editing experience and knowledge
- Insight into the media industry from experienced television producers
This internship program has no set schedule and will be flexible to accomodate our interns’ availability. We can also work with a school counselor to provide college or high school credit. Matters
Make Media that Matters Program
GNAT-TV in Sunderland, VT, is dedicated to producing content that genuinely reflects the truth and engages the community in the Greater Northshire region of Southern Vermont. Our Make Media that Matters (MMTM) internship is designed for interns dedicated to creating impactful video stories.
MMTM Internship Details:
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Projects: Interns will develop three media projects, each lasting 10-30 minutes, over 8 weeks. A commitment of at least 5 hours per week for studio work is expected, with scheduling flexibility.
- Collaboration: Project themes will be jointly decided by GNAT staff and interns, reflecting the community’s current interests and needs.
