| 1:00 p.m. | Welch to Convene Rural Health Care Innovation Roundtable BENNINGTON — U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, will host a roundtable on rural health care innovation on Wednesday, featuring local health care leaders, medical experts, and community members. Senator Welch will discuss challenges faced by health care providers and patients in Vermont, and highlight his bills to strengthen rural health care. While at the Bennington Firehouse he will also highlight the Emergency Medical Services Reimbursement for On-scene Care and Support (EMS ROCS) Act, his legislation that would require the government to pay for vital EMS services provided to individuals on Medicare. Senator Welch is a champion for rural health care, and has worked across the aisle to lead legislation to improve access to care, including the Rural Hospital Support Act, Improving Access to Medicare Coverage Act, Rural Hospital Technical Assistance Program Act, Fair Funding for Rural Hospitals Act, Multigenerational Home Caregiver Credit Act, Protecting Pharmacies in Medicaid Act, Share the Savings with Seniors Act, Fair Prescription Drug Prices for Americans Act, CONNECT for Health Act, OPIOIDS Act, EMS ROCS Act, Repealing the Trump Sick Tax Act, Home Accessibility Tax Credit Act, No Big Blockbuster Bailouts Act, and the 340B Patients Act.
