Founded in 1988 by a group of dedicated volunteers, the AIDS Project of Southern Vermont has
served the region for more than 38 years, responding to the evolving realities of HIV/AIDS with
compassion, flexibility, and strong community-based leadership. What began as an organization
focused largely on end-of-life care has grown into a comprehensive regional provider of care
coordination, food access, harm reduction, and HIV testing and prevention services across
Bennington, Windham, and southern Windsor counties. APSVT’s programs continue to adapt
alongside advances in treatment and prevention and are delivered by skilled staff who are
passionate about providing a safe and inclusive environment. All services are provided
