First Congregational Church of Manchester Announces “Tuesdays in Lent” 2026

Want to join some upcoming engaging events?  Explore faith, mental health, music and poetry. First Congregational Church invites the community to its “Tuesdays in Lent” series, offering five evenings (and two midday events) of reflection, conversation, and inspiration during the season of Lent.

The series begins Tuesday, February 24, and runs through March 24. All events are held at the historic First Congregational Church and are free and open to the public.

•  Tuesday, February 24 – 7:00 p.m.  Therapy and Faith
A panel discussion with Kristyn Harrington LICSW/LADC, Howard Honigsfeld LCSW, and Rev. Steve Longley LICSW.

•  Tuesday, March 3 – 11:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.
The Passion(s) of Jesus: Why Four Gospels?
Led by Pastor Bill Borror. Offered twice for convenience (lunchtime and evening).

•  Tuesday, March 10 – 7:00 p.m.
Dylan and Friends – Poets, Protest, and Prophets
Back by popular demand featuring Andris Berry and Bill Borror. An evening of poetry/music (a must-attend for Bob Dylan fans!)

•  Tuesday, March 17 – 7:00 p.m.
Persuasive Words Live Podcast:  Faith and State – From Obedience to Resistance
Bill Borror hosts his independent podcast alongside podcast partner Scott Jones

•  Tuesday, March 24 – 12:00 p.m.
The Greatest Music Ever Written – Music of Passion Week
Presented by Linda Hueckel, Music Director at FCC. A noon concert and reflection.
