From the producer:

Since 9/11 the United States has continued to undergo a profound series of changes in its self-identity and understanding of the world. These changes have largely been influenced by people in power. Their decisions have impacted all Americans economically, politically, socially and morally. This series begins to address the problem of feeling powerless against the “powers that be” and begins to suggest alternatives to the “monster” government that we have allowed to usurp the inalienable rights that we have been granted under natural law. Vermonters are waking-up to this problem. We are asking: what does freedom and unity mean for us going forward? This series begins to address the challenges and suggests positive and effective ways individuals can confront the “powers” to ensure a better future than the one proposed by corporations and our government which works in their behalf.
