Stratton Community Foundation Golf Outing

The Stratton Community Foundation is officially launching its 2026 fundraising season, putting the spotlight on basic necessities through its Head-to-Toe Program. This year’s Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026, at the scenic Stratton Mountain Resort Golf Course.

All tournament proceeds directly fund the foundation’s vital Head-To-Toe Program. This essential program equips 600 local children with critical items including winter clothing and boots, sneakers, backpacks and school supplies, and dental kits.

The tournament kicks off with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start and features a full day of premier golf and community camaraderie.

2026 Event Details & Highlights

* The Experience: 18 holes of championship golf at Stratton Mountain Resort.
* Perks & Contests: Every golfer receives a curated welcome gift, with opportunities to win prizes for the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.
* On-Course Enhancements: Exclusive "Advance Your Play" advantages can be added during online registration or at the check-in desk on tournament day.
* Celebration: The day concludes with an evening dinner and awards reception.

The foundation sets its sights on a $100,000 fundraising goal for this event, relying on the generosity of local players, corporate sponsors, and donors to keep growing the Head-To-Toe Program to meet the community needl. And, to kick off the Head-to-Toe fundraising, the Foundation has received a $10,000 matching gift from local community member and Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum Hall of Famer Suzi Rueck.

"The Head-To-Toe program bridges the gap for families facing tough financial realities. By joining us on the golf course this September, our community is directly turning empathy into action, ensuring that 600 local kids have the tools they need to thrive all year long."

By partnering deeply with educators across southern Vermont, the Stratton Community Foundation ensures year-round care for vulnerable students living in mountain and valley towns. In the autumn, Head-To-Toe delivers backpacks packed with school essentials and dental hygiene kits. As harsh Vermont winters approach, it supplies high-quality cold-weather gear, including coats, snow pants, boots, and gloves. When spring arrives, children receive brand-new, properly fitted sneakers—an item that is frequently out of reach for struggling families. Beyond seasonal apparel, the foundation empowers schools to tap into immediate Moving Mountains grant funds for schools to handle immediate needs.
