Heating Bill Benefit Application Assistance
Help With Heating Bills
The heating season is upon us, and fuel prices are up. Do you need help paying for heating oil, propane, wood, pellets or electricity? If so, you may qualify for low-income home energy assistance. A household of 2 may qualify if their income is $3336 or less per month. A single person may qualify if their income is $2460.50 or less per month.
A representative from Neighborhood Connections in Londonderry will be at the Manchester Community Library on Thursday, November 12 from 11:30 to 4:30 to help with applications for fuel assistance and Green Mountain Power’s energy assistance program, as well as other government benefits programs.
From 11:30-1:30, the representative will be available to answer your questions concerning fuel assistance and other government benefits that are available, such as 3SquaresVT and 3SNAP (SNAP) benefits, health insurance, VPharm/Dr. Dynasaur, Medicaid (both general and long-term care), and Medicare Savings Programs. From 1:30-4:30 the representative will be available to help you apply for benefits. To schedule an appointment for application assistance, please call Neighborhood Connections at 802-824-6913 and ask for Malcolm Hamblett.
