Sunday October 11th at The 1786 Rupert Meetinghouse will include special guest Fidel Moreno with a message of heritage, culture & unity.
Fidel Moreno represents an amazing connection to Indigenous cultural and is known as an ethnographic documentary filmmaker, including:

Fidel describes his family lineage and indigenous heritage as:
Maternal lineage is Wirarika ( Huichol ) from Coloctlan Jalisco Mexico and also of Sephardic Jewish ancestry and North African Moor and Spanish
And Mexican American ( Chicano ). With his paternal lineage of Zacoteco indigenous lineage from a small Rancheria near El Potrero Zacatecas
Spanish and African And Mexican American.
His unique heritage and 38 years as a documentary filmmaker have provided him with extensive knowledge and ability to share stories of meaning of the indigenous culture. In addition to his documentary work, Fidel has spent decades working in suicide prevention and restorative justice in tribal communities and tribal courts and is a ceremonialist and cultural educator, human rights and water activist and travels to assists tribal communities and communities of color where there are high rates of suicide and fentanyl overdoses in youth and young adults.

We will begin at 10:30 am but please stay after to enjoy a time of fellowship with food, friends and extended time to meet with Fidel and hear more stories.
