Join Occupational Therapy Assistant and Certified Infant Massage Instructor Lori Pandolfo for a 5-week parent-and-baby connection program at Manchester Community Library. This free, hands-on class welcomes parents, grandparents, and other caregivers along with babies (from birth to pre-crawling). Family members are encouraged to attend together so everyone involved in your baby’s care feels included and supported. You will learn how to use a nurturing touch to build stronger connections that support a calm, happy baby. The goal is for parents and caregivers to leave the class with new confidence, knowledge, and a community to count on.

The Five-Week Class Journey:

1. Welcome & Building Connection • Week one will cover the power of nurturing touch, reading your baby’s cues, and a full-body overview of massage strokes, demonstrated on an instructional doll. These skills will make your baby feel safe and loved and build trust between you as you gain confidence and understanding.

2. Tummy, Chest & Arms • Week two will cover tummy massage for comfort, chest and heart opening, arm and hand strokes, and soothing techniques. These massage motions will ease gas and tummy discomfort, support better sleep, and encourage relaxation for your baby.

3. Legs, Feet & Movement • Week three will cover leg and foot strokes, gentle stretching and range of motion, and movement and rhythm. These exercises will support digestion, relieve tension, and promote body awareness for your baby.

4. Back, Bottom & Soothing Touch • Week four will focus on back massage for relaxation, bottom and lower back comfort, soothing holds and rocking, and handling fussiness.

5. Putting It All Together & Beyond • The last week of the class will review the full body massage flow and help you create your routine. Lori will also offer self-care advice for parents, followed by a Q&A session for any lingering uncertainties, and a celebration for all you’ve accomplished.

The class includes a take-home guide, practice time, community support, and resources for your journey. These small touches will create a big connection between you and your baby, leading to a lifetime of love.
