Who We Are
We’re your local media center, run by Vermonters, powered by community, and open to everyone.
Greater Northshire Access Television (GNAT-TV) serves the Northshire and Mountain Towns region of Southwestern Vermont, including the towns of Arlington, Dorset, Londonderry, Manchester, Peru, Rupert, Sandgate, Stratton, Sunderland, Weston, and Winhall.
We cover local government meetings, community events, and produce original local content. And we help you create your own, too. With free training, production tools, and airtime, we put the mic and camera in the hands of the people who live here–because when neighbors tell their own stories, the whole community gets stronger.
We’re more than just a local TV station.
We’re a place where ideas take shape, stories get told, and anyone can learn how to share what matters. You don’t just watch GNAT-TV; you shape it.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we provide free access to professional studios, gear, training, and distribution platforms so anyone–really, anyone–can create and share content that matters.
We produce, teach, support, and amplify.
What We Do
- Open-Access Studio & Equipment Rentals
Get behind the camera or in front of it. Once you’re trained, our studio, podcast gear, and field production tools are free to use. - Full-Service Video Production
Need help? We offer fee-based services for filming, editing, livestreaming, and content strategy—whether it’s a community highlight reel, a fundraising video, or a documentary. - Government Meetings & Event Coverage
We provide transparent, gavel-to-gavel coverage of local government meetings and public events. Want to film your own? We’ll help you do that, too. - Local News & Information
We share original reporting, amplify community-submitted stories, and round up local and state press releases we think are relevant. If it matters to this region, we help get it seen. - Community Calendar & Video Bulletin Board
Submit your events and announcements—we’ll help spread the word on cable, online, and social media. - Video Announcements & PSAs
Nonprofits, schools, and civic groups can access free production support to share public messages with our community. - Youth Media Education
We run after-school workshops, summer camps, and internships to build the next generation of storytellers, leaders, and visual thinkers. - Workshops for All Ages

Who We Reach
We connect deeply with our region—on screens, in person, and across platforms:
- 4,262 Comcast households across 11 towns
- 3,237 Facebook followers
- 1,207 Instagram followers
- 3.63K YouTube subscribers
That’s over 12,000 community connections – and growing every day.
Why It Matters
We believe in local media that listens. In storytelling that starts with neighbors. In giving people the skills and platform to speak for themselves–and be heard.
When communities create their own media, they don’t just share news–they shape the culture, preserve the history, and imagine the future.
