Berkshire Art Center Unveils Winter Class Lineup Celebrating “Joy to the World—Creatively”
Stockbridge, MA — November 6, 2025 — Berkshire Art Center (BAC) is welcoming the winter season with a new lineup of classes designed to inspire creativity, connection, and joy. Centered around the uplifting theme “Joy to the World—Creatively,” this season’s programming celebrates the power of art to bring warmth and light during the coldest months of the year.
“This year, Berkshire Art Center’s programming is infused with celebration, connection, and creativity,” said Executive Director Laura Thompson. “We’re excited to bring this joyful spirit to life—to engage our community and support our mission of making art accessible to all.”
This winter, BAC invites artists and community members alike to explore the many ways art can illuminate and uplift. From painting and collage to ceramics and photography, classes will encourage participants to find inspiration in light, color, and self-expression.

Vision Board Workshop – January 9 with Jody King Camarra
An uplifting mixed-media workshop where participants will create personalized intention boards for the new year. -
Winter Whites: Mugs, Tumblers & Bowls – starts January 13 with Paula Shalan
Explore the subtle beauty of winter whites through handbuilt ceramic forms and glazing techniques. -
Light Up the Night with Ceramic Lanterns (BAC Date Night) – January 24 with Lorimer Burns
A fun and unique date night experience in the BAC ceramics studio—no prior experience needed! -
Photographic Magic of Winter’s Light – February 20 with Thad Kubis
Capture the magic of the season’s unique light at Mass Audubon’s Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary. -
Bright Lights: Preserving Watercolor Highlights – February 22 with Jill McLean
A focused, hands-on session for intermediate and advanced watercolor artists to preserve and recover highlights. -
Abstract Painting Workshop: Focus on Joy – February 28 & March 6 with Wednesday Nelena Sorokin
A two-session workshop exploring how joy can be both the inspiration and expression of abstract painting.
