DESCRIPTION:The Bennington County chapter of the University of Vermont (UVM
 ) Extension Master Gardener program (EMG)\, in partnership with USDA Natur
 al Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)\, will offer free soil lead scree
 ning at Norman’s Attic on Saturday\, September 19\, 2026\, from 9:00am t
 o 4:00pm. Chadd Cupit\, resource soil scientist\, will be on hand to provi
 de screening with specialized equipment. Community members are invited to 
 bring soil samples from vegetable gardens\, play areas\, or other outdoor 
 spaces where people may come into contact with bare soil.
